A Special Invitation
On behalf of the Ross Bay Area Alumni Club, I am excited to invite you to a special wine tasting event the Club has organized with the Cellar Master at Charles Woodson's Winery, Twenty Four Wines. As you all know, Woodson was a standout Michigan football player and is currently playing for the NFL Green Bay Packers. The Saturday May 22 event includes round trip transportation by charter bus, lunch and wine tasting.
A Unique Experience: Create Your Own Wine Blend
This is not your ordinary "drive to Napa Valley, sip some wine and maybe buy a bottle or two". Twenty Four Wines has graciously offered the Club an opportunity to enjoy a special blending and tasting session at their location in Calistoga. The Cellar Master at Twenty Four will lead a discussion of how wine is made, describe the art and science of creating a custom wine blend, and then allow each of us the opportunity to create our own blend. And if you find that you've created something that appeals to your pallette, you'll have the opportunity to purchase your unique blend.

Lunch and Additional Tastings at V Wine Cellar in Yountville
After our blending session at Twenty Four, we'll travel to V Wine Cellar for a formal presentation and tasting of the Twenty Four Wine collection. While at V, we'll also have food/lunch.
Below is the tentative Agenda:
- 8:30 am: Peninsula (San Mateo) location pick-up
- 9:00 am: City Pick-up and ride to Twenty Four Wines in Napa
- 10:00 am - 11:30 am: Private blending and sampling session with Twenty Four Wines Cellar Master, Rick Ruiz.
- 11:30 - 11:45 am: Bus Ride to V Wine Cellar in Yountville
- 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Formal tasting of the Twenty Four Wines collection combined with heavy hors d'oeuvres and lunch at V Wine Cellar. *
- 2:15 pm: Depart Napa- target drop time of 3:30/4:00 pm.
Total cost for everything listed above (yes, including transportation): $95.00 per person
Maximum capacity: 50 people (Please let us know as soon as possible!)
Discount Wine Purchase - Proceeds to Charity
Twenty Four Wine will offer their wines for purchase at a discount to those attending this event. Proceeds from the sales go to C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor. Charles Woodson himself is extremely dedicated to Mott Children's with a recent $2 Million commitment, co-hosting the annual "Champions for Children's Hearts" golf weekend in Ann Arbor, and his continued efforts to broadcast the message about the amazing work this hospital does for children.
